jvc ha-fx66.. please comment on whether they're worth buying if one already owns a ksc75 (ordered it the other day). Thanks!

Hmm.. I like them both but they serve totally different purposes for me. I prefer the sound of the KSC75 but they don't provide any isolation in noisy areas. Also I like the FX66 for use in bed since I can keep them in my ears when laying on my side. Also, the FX66 can be comfortable for many hours of continuous use. I'd definitely choose them over the FX33 and FX55.

akg27i VS ksc75

Sorry. I haven't tried the AKGs. You can always try head-fi.org.

thanks- how about Senn CX300 VS Shure E2C VS Marshmallows?

Hmm... I don't really care for any of those but I think it would be between the e2c and CX300. They are both kind of bass heavy and lack an even all-around sound. Lots of people like both of them, though.

I'd buy an ATH-CK7 and never look back.

What about the JVC HA-S350 ? any pro/cons to tell of specifically?

I don't remember the S350 that well since I quickly replaced them with an ATH-ES7. I remember that they sounded a bit muddy but not too bad for cheap closed headphones.

Hello, Boris! Do you remember how well did Panasonic RP-HJE500 isolate? And I guess they're good for the 40$ price)?

To be honest I never really used them outside. I preferred the CK7 and I owned them both at the same time so while I occasionally used the HJE500, the CK7 was always my canalphone of choice.
The HJE300 hardly isolated at all but I'd assume the HJE500 would isolate a bit better.
Unless isolation is a big concern, I'd consider them a good deal for $40.

Hi again! If you are in the US, I'd get the ATH-CK7 from buy.com. If you are a new Google Checkout customer they will cost $63 shipped.

Good luck!

I'm curious about the Panasonic RP-HTX7. I listened to a friend's pair a while back, and it sounded pretty nice. Then I listed to a demo pair a few days ago, and it sounded cold and kinda tinny. What are your thoughts on them?

Thanks in advance!

Mine sounded more like your friend's pair. I always recommend them to anyone looking for closed headphones at less than $50. They have a nice even sound and don't have the "wonkiness" that many cheap closed headphones possess. I also found them really comfortable and love the style.

I'd be more inclined to trust impressions from a friend's pair of headphones than one in the store since there is no way to know how it was treated and often you also won't know the source.

Thanks a bunch! I had my heart set on a pair of HD280's or the TriPorts, but they're either too expensive where I live, or they're not available. Now I just want to settle on something relatively nice and inexpensive until I get back to America. These seem like just the ticket.

Glad I could help! :-)

Also, stay away from the Triports. You are paying for Bose's huge advertising budget and not much more.

Could you do a quick review of the Sony D777s? Are these the infamous eggos?

Please give a review of the PE-117.
Thanks!
